The National Confectioners Association is pleased to announce the first ALL CANDY MARKETPLACE, a collaborative strategic planning and seasonal buying event for confectionery manufacturers and retailers, with an emphasis on seasonal confectionery opportunities.

This first event will highlight seasonal confectionery opportunities for top manufacturers and retailers. The first ALL CANDY MARKETPLACE will focus on the Halloween and Christmas 2005 holidays.

Complementing the annual ALL CANDY EXPO®, the ALL CANDY MARKETPLACE will focus on future key seasons and offer annual strategic planning for leading retailers and manufacturers. This will result in building communication opportunities to further grow the confectionery category.

By working in partnership and planning ahead, the ALL CANDY MARKETPLACE will create efficiencies in the seasonal planning cycle for manufacturers and retailers.

The MARKETPLACE is a time-effective and cost-effective forum for planning seasonal merchandising. By taking part in private meetings between retail merchandising and buying teams and confectionery manufacturers, you can maximize your efforts.

The ALL CANDY MARKETPLACE was developed over years of research conducted within the confectionery buying community. NCA asked buyers about their seasonal purchasing needs, and it was determined that greater flexibility in meeting length was critical. Buyers also indicated the necessity of including brokers in the seasonal merchandising and strategic planning process to ensure the involvement of the local representative, where appropriate. NCA has developed a Buyer Advisory Council to help guide the future of the ALL CANDY MARKETPLACE.

The ALL CANDY MARKETPLACE offers flexibility to manufacturers in their level of participation. Manufacturers can participate in the Sweet Club, renting a private meeting room for pre-scheduled twenty- or forty-minute meetings with leading retailers. The time will be based on your strategic direction for the meeting.
